With the summer and an increase in the number of people using the island’s roads, travelling has become a nightmare for many bus drivers, who say that the situation is becoming worse, not better.
Today, local newspaper, JM received several photographs showing the hazards and difficulties both public and private bus drivers were facing. One of the biggest problems are the illegal parking of Rent-a-Cars, as tourists are abandoning their vehicles in areas that are designed for buses, or for the loading and unloading of goods.
As such, a plea has been issued to the police, asking them for their assistance in reducing traffic congestion.
