The traditional fishermen procession, where the image of São Pedro is transported by sea from Câmara de Lobos to Ribeira Brava took place yesterday after a 20 year hiatus.
A large number of people took part in the event, crowding onto fishing vessels and decorated boats, and enjoying the sunshine and the revival of an old festival.
The municipality of Câmara de Lobos also thanked the fishermen and the parish of São Sebastião on social media “for reviving the tradition.”
