In an open letter, the Director General of Uber in Portugal, Manuel Pina, advises the Regional Government to turn TVDE into an engine of growth and increased mobility, and that wasn’t it high time that the island’s government adopted the policies of the Azores with regard to TVDE, and dropped their unfair licensing rules which came into effect in 2021.
When reporters tried to gauge the reaction from the Secretary for the Economy here in Madeira, he was unavailable for comment.
