For all those interested in visiting the Jasmin Tea House via the Number 47 yellow bus (São João Latrão), the CMF has announced that they have created another bus stop in Funchal on Rua Brigadeiro Oudinot.
This solution was implemented at the suggestion of some residents who complained about the difficulty of catching the number 47 bus, especially then they had been shopping at the Mercado dos Lavradores. Faced with increasing pressure to tackle the situation, the Mayor of Funchal, Pedro Calado, and the Councillor for Traffic, Bruno Pereira, contacted the Empresa Horas do Funchal and reached an agreement.
Talking to journalists, Pedro Calado added that the objective is to provide more mobility to those who use public transport and live in the São Gonçalo area, and that where possible, they are striving to create a flexibility that will meet the needs of the population.
Given the number of people who use this bus, the municipality is studying the possibility of creating a shelter to protect users from the elements, as well as the creation of a seating area.
