Fight In Funchal Leaves Two Tourists Injured

The Portuguese Red Cross (CVP) were called out to an incident on Avenida Sá Carneiro, in Funchal, at dawn on Sunday, to provide assistance to two foreign citizens. According to JM, a group of customers were leaving a nightclub, and became involved in a fight with two drunk foreign citizens. The only two who were injured in the altercation were the two drunk tourists, and they were quickly abandoned before the police arrived.

The two rescued men, aged 24 and 25-years-old, had minor facial injuries and were quickly transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça hospital for treatment.

They were quickly discharged, and flew back to Germany yesterday.
