A team of Madeirans are on their way to Poland as part of a humanitarian mission, which will take place on the border between Poland and the Ukraine.
After several delay’s due to the problems at the airport, “Gonçalo Félix, President of Madeira Emergency wrote “Finally after a very difficult day, the team is on its way. First stop Lisbon.”
Writing about their mission, Carlos Mendes, a student nurse wrote, “despite being a few hours late, it’s time to embark on our Humanitarian Mission in Ukraine. We go with strength, motivation with the desire to make a difference, even if it is small. United for Ukraine… For the World,”
In addition to Gonçalo Félix and Carlos Mendes, Catarina Correia, a nurse, and Guadalupe Sousa, a manager, are also part of the mission. All four will join a team that is already on the ground.
And I certainly wish them good luck.
