Great Dane breeder (Gretadane), Anne Liddell who lives in Calheta, and who has an impressive number of Crufts titles and Champions to her name, came second with her dog Smooriken by Gretadane Imp Prt (aka Dura), in the Junior Great Dane Dog Class at Crufts last week.
Dura who was born in Madeira, now lives in Aberdeen, Scotland with his new owner, and started his showing career in August 2021, where he won ‘Best Puppy’ at the Blackpool Championship show, which then qualified him for Crufts 2022.
To top their Crufts success, after the awards were presented, Prince Michael of Kent and his daughter, Lady Gabriella Kingston, stopped to talk to Anne, with Lady Gabriella stating that Dura had been her favourite.
Concluding, Anne said that it was a great day for herself as the breeder, Dura’s owner, and for Dura himself, who stole a Lady’s heart.
