A tourist fell this afternoon while walking along Pico da Torre, which is located between Pico Ruivo e o Pico do Areeiro.
Emergency services were immediately called out to the scene, and news was scarce about the condition of the tourist, except that they were unable to ascertain the extent of the victims injuries.
Later on this afternoon, it was confirmed that the tourist has died.
Out thoughts are with their family and friends.
