Last night several rescue teams had to attend a road traffic accident in Campanário, where at least one of the three victims was reported to have been severely injured.
According to JM, two of the injured were transported immediately to hospital, while the third was assisted by one of the rescue teams.
The incident seemed to involve several cars.
Unfortunately, this afternoon it was announced that Marlene Macedo, a sociologist working as an intern at the Associação OLHO.te died from her injuries. Her brother, Rafael Macedo, who is known on Facebook as Charles Macedo da Silva, wrote:
“Until one day, sis. You will always be remembered for your unique resilience.”
Currently the condition of the severely injured person is unknown.
Furthermore, a chipped, female golden cocker spaniel called Toti, who was travelling in one of the cars, fled the scene of the accident, and is currently missing. Her owners are desperate to find her, and if anyone has any information, please contact 934 022 175.
