Following the Russian attack on the Ukraine, the Municipality of Ribeira Brava has started a collection campaign to help those whose lives have been torn apart by the Russian – Ukraine war.
For those who are interested in helping, the Ribeira Brava Parish Council is open for donations between 09:00 – 17:30 during the week. During the weekends of the 12th -13th and 20th of March, the collection point will move to the PSD headquarters (Ribeira Brava) from 10:00 to 18:00.
The objective is, after all the goods have been collected, to transport them to LogisLink, in Cancela, in order to be transported to Lisbon and from there to Ukraine.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Ribeira Brava Parish Council said, “in these difficult times, social solidarity prevails and we, in collaboration with JSD Ribeira Brava, will proceed with the collection of essential goods that will later be delivered to Logistlink (logistics centre) to then be sent to Ukraine. Help us to help them. Together we can make a difference!”
