Hosptial visits to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça, Marmeleiros and Dr. João de Almada hospitals are again permissible, and this time, no longer limited to a nominated visitor.
In the case of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça hospital, all visitors must present a vaccination certificate or negative Covid-19 test to a member of staff located at a counter near the Citizens desk. On presentation of a valid certificate, a QR code will be given which will allow access to the wards.
At the end of the visit, visitors must go back to the same counter and register their departure by swiping the code.
According to the SESARAM website, hospital visiting times are between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. But again, only one visitor at a time, except for those who dying or whose prognosis is poor, where there are no restrictions on visits.
Unvaccinated testing, stated the Regional Secretary for Health will be supported by the health service.
