This morning, the dead body of a 50-year old man was found in one of the doorways of the Lavradores Market in Funchal. According to JM, both the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters (BVM) and the Public Security Police were called to the scene.
All that is known is that the Civil Protection alerted the BVM, at around 6:00 am this morning. The man was found to have several cuts to his body, which had been made by a sharp object.
Cafe umbrella’s were used to shield the scene from unlookers, and the local Funchal Firefighters were called in later to clean the area.
