Victor Prior, director of the Madeira Delegation of the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), has advised that dust, which is currently being blown in from North Africa, will continue to affect the Madeiran archipelago until Thursday.
This atmospheric phenomenon causes a “significant reduction in visibility,” and is also associated with low humidity, so in effect it is going to be dusty and dry over the next few days.
