Pestana Hotel Group Increase Their Minimum Wage

Pestana Hotel Group (PHG) has decided to resume its Minimum Remuneration policy, setting the their entry level minimum salary to  €750 (gross) per month as of the 1st of January 2022.

Further benefits include; food or cafeteria allowance, health insurance, discounts at all hotels and inns of the group, which are extended to all employees and their families, continuous training and national and international mobility programmes, in what they describe as a competitive benefits package within the hotel industry.

CEO of PHG, José Theotónio,  stated that human resources have always been a priority for the Pestana Hotel Group and, one of the reasons for its solidity and growth.  The benefits package, which we have been developing for all our employees, is part of a very strong culture of trust and commitment towards the people who chose to work and grow with us. People are our biggest investment.

Pestana employees also benefit from a staff card, which offers discounts and partnerships with privileged conditions in Pestana hotels and inns (stays, restaurants, spas and vouchers), and with several other partners.

Within the scope of sustainability, the group encourages participation in various voluntary actions in the social and environmental fields, promoted by the internal Planet Guest Programme, under the title ‘We are only guests of this planet.’
