The Tax and Customs Authority (AT) has recently issued a second ‘Fraudulent Message Alert’ which has supposedly been sent by AT to taxpayers.
This message, which should be ignored, tries to convince taxpayers to click on the ‘suggested’ links. There are currently two emails in circulation; one entitled “Finance – Divergence of the year 2020,” informing people that AT is controlling the delivery of income statements, a process that has not started yet, and a second which refers to missing 2021 payments.
Earlier on this month, AT had to issue a statement asking people to ignore a fake email that asked people to click on a link so that they could receive an AT refund.
