With the daily Covid-19 figures increasing rather than decreasing, thirty-eight schools in the Region activated their respective Covid-19 contingency plans today. In total, 231 new infections by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, among students, teachers and non-teachers were detected.
According to the Regional Secretary of Education, the following schools are affected.

50 students, three teachers and two non-teachers tested positive. Another 52 students are in prophylactic isolation until further notice from health authorities.
