The road to Ginjas

11 non-governmental organizations have made an appeal to stop the project to put asphalt on the rickety road leading to a village named Ginjas in S. Vicente, in the protected Laurissilva forest. The forest is a World Heritage Monument  Makes sense, but the inhabitants of Ginjas see it differently,,. In readers’ comments to the newspaper, they want the road badly, and say that this is a promise made by the government decades ago.
