Two men, aged 42 and 46 respectively have been arrested by the Public Security Police Machico, Criminal Investigation Division (CID). The men were apprehended for theft, and being in the possession of a prohibited weapon (Flick knife).
One of the suspects, who had hidden several bottles of alcohol in his back pack, ran out of the shop evading a security guard who tried to stop him. The guard then alerted the police, who identified and followed the suspect, arresting both the thief and his accomplice as the stolen goods were handed over.
