A yellow city bus (Horários do Funchal) caught fire this morning.
The bus, which was operating along the Funchal – Viveiros route, developed mechanical problems as smoke was seen coming out of the engine. Luckily, the fire was quickly extinguished by the Madeiran Voluntary Firefighters (BVM), who promptly assisted a PSP officer who was already trying to fight the flames.
It is thought that a mechanical malfunction caused the fire.
