This afternoon Alberto João Jardim joined the critics of the new Madeira image. Writing on his Facebook page the Ex-President wrote:
“A successful BRAND like MADEIRA does not need changing. The new logo combines petty-bourgeois snobbery with imitated vulgarity. This is just another example of the current pathological anxiety to change everything!”
The backlash has been vocal to say the least, with one person saying that his six year old son could do better, and would have been happy to create a logo for an ice-cream or pizza and not the €560,000 the new sign cost.
Ouch!
