Telephone Scheduling for Residence Certificates

Since yesterday, the 11th of November, the Funchal City Council has created a telephone scheduling service for all those requesting EU Citizen Residence Certificates at the Loja do Munícipe. 

Appointments must be made in advance via the Funchal City Council Contact Centre on 291 211 000, it is an automated service and you need to press option 6.  The lines are open between 8:30 am and 8:30 pm.

Please ensure that you take all the necessary documents and further information can be found on teh municipality’s website http://cm-funchal.pt/> The citizen> Online Services> Loja do Munícipe.

This new service aims to reduce waiting times and improve the service provided.

However, if you have lived here longer than five years, you need to make an appointment through the borders and control service (SEF).
