A nine-year-old girl and her mother have been missing since Saturday. According to reports when the mother left her home in Câmara de Lobos, she was seen taking the child and some clothing with her.
The child’s father, Igor Veloza has issued an appeal, saying that both he and his ex-partner, Álison Vieira, have joint custody of the child and that this weekend it was his turn to look after her. When she wasn’t dropped off by her mother, he immediately alerted the police, especially as after speaking to Álison Vieira’s current companion, he was told that his ex, who is six months pregnant, had left the house taking the child and clothes with her.
Understandably, the father is worried as Álison’s three mobile phones have all been switched off and none of her family or friends have any idea where she is. Igor told local newspaper, JM, that he was afraid that his daughters mother was ‘in danger of escaping!’
