Care and Stay Aware

As the 1st of November is All Saints’ Day, the municipality of Machico recommends that people take care and adhere to the current health and safety regulations. These include the mandatory use of masks, social distancing, using the hand sanitizers placed at the cemetery entrances and coughing and sneezing into paper tissues and disposing of them immediately.

In their press statement, the Machico City Council states that “since the country, and the world in general, is experiencing a pandemic in which the quickest form of transmission is contact between people, we, the Machico City Council ask for people to act sensibly, adhere to the new guidelines and to ensure that they do not congregate in groups.”

The measures were brought in with immediate effect.
