Forgotten Camacha Creates Concern

Residents of the parish of Camacha have aired their concerns as the small town is becoming increasingly deserted.  With the closure over the past couple of years of services such as banks, the Public Security Police (PSP) station, CTT post and other shops, residents have every right to feel concerned, as they fear there is nothing to attract either private or public investment to the area.

This feeling has been further exacerbated by the recent closure of the emblematic Café Relógio, a place that has always been synonymous for both tourists and Madeirans alike.
