The Regional Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus recently spent the afternoon with Machico based whale and dolphin watching tourism company ‘Scorpio Madeira.’
During his visit, Eduardo Jesus expressed his gratitude and admiration for the way some of the islands tourism companies are adapting to new health and safety regulations, and the increased needs of their customers.
Enjoying his trip, and after observing some of the regions water inhabitants, he welcomed the fact that there was such a demand for this type of natural and nature related tourism, which not only just appealed to individuals, but to families as well.
“Basically,” he maintained, “it was interesting to assess how everything is being reorganised, relaunched, promoted, implemented and managed to gain and win back customer confidence.”
