The Lost Racing Pigeon

On the 4th of July, during a 186-mile race, a racing pigeon, owned by Adriano Andrade and David da Costa Pereira, drifted off course and was found a month later in England.

Found in Devon, England on the 6th of August, the Trenton pigeon is believed to have hitchhiked its way across its amazing 2,222 km journey, before being rescued from a bucket of paint.

The owners have been informed that their pigeon is alive and well by the Portuguese Columbophilia Federation.  However, the bird needs time to recuperate before being returned home.
