“It is time for the Azoreans to get to know Madeira and the Madeirans to get to know the Azores.” That is Raimundo Quintal’s Facebook message.
The Portuguese geographer and botanist believes that connections between the two countries should be strengthened as both nationalities should get to understand each other’s cultures, simularities, differences and the individual natural beauty of each other’s islands. His message, which has previously been published on social networks, includes a set of photographs of his private garden, Jardim do Tojal, located overlooking the coastline of Faial, Santana.
