Last night (16/07) a Pingo Doce security guard in Câmara de Lobos, was attacked by an alleged drug addict. The situation arose when the security guard asked the man to put on his mask before entering the supermarket. However, the man reacted violently and started slashing at the security guard with several razor blades.
The addict was later taken to hospital by an ambulance crew from the Volunteer Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos and accompanied by the Public Security Police.
So far it is not known what happened to the supermarket security guard or the extent of his injuries.
