Following the reopening of the PortoBay Falésia hotel in the Algarve, the groups five-star hotels in Lisbon, Porto and four of their seven Madeiran hotels will re-open shortly.
The PortoBay Group had previously announced that it was preparing to reopen the PortoBay five star Liberdade hotels in Lisbon and PortoBay Flores, Porto, on the 1st of July.
In Madeira, on the 4th of July The Cliff Bay and Les Suites at The Cliff Bay will re-open together with the Porto Mare and The Residence. All will comply with safety and hygiene measures as well as the ‘Clean & Safe seal of Turismo de Portugal.’
In their statement the group said that with the Region getting ready to receive tourists again, albeit subject to security measures, this can be the perfect opportunity to visit this emblematic Portuguese island and enjoy a holiday without the usual tourist frenzy.
Following receipt of the Clean & Safe certificate from Turismo de Portugal, and in light of the current pandemic, the Madeira based group have created an internal committee responsible for the implementation, certification, training and audit of the actions considered essential for the reopening of hotels, by means of integrating the recommendations of the world Health Organisation (WHO) and national health authorities.
The PortoBay group remains committed to providing a memorable experience for all its hotel guests.
