Funchal Cannot Fall into Irreversible Decay

Asked to comment on the statements made by Alberto João Jardim on radio station Antena 1, about the Municipality of Funchal falling into 'Irreversible Decay,' and becoming a city with a permanently outstretched hand, the President of Madeira, said that he supported the ex-president on his views, and although he is worried about Pedro Calado's (Vice-President) departure from the Regional Government, due to his candidacy for Mayor of Funchal, Miguel Albuquerque believes that Pedro Calado's leadership will benefit the city enormously. 

Teachers Will Be Vaccinated

During the visit to the Macaronesian Forest Centre at Quinta do Santo da Serra, The President of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, said that the vaccination programme for teachers would be released soon.  However, this all depends on the number of AstraZeneca vaccines that arrive this weekend.  

Events to be Cancelled or Postponed Until After September

The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque has said that this year the Madeira Wine Rally may not go ahead.  At the moment, the governments goal is to have 70% of the population vaccinated by the end of the summer, which will allow certain events, such as the Flower Festival to go ahead in September.
