Madeira’s Mountains At Risk Due to Lack of Care

Sérgio Gonçalves, President of the Madeira Socialist Party, accused, berated the Regional Government (RG) for allowing the mountainous regions of Madeira to become full of weeds, as well as reiterating that the RG cannot blame landowners for not keeping the land clean, when the management of these areas is a public concern not private.

Pedregal Hydraulic Tunnel Will Be Completed Next Summer

The Pedregal hydraulic tunnel, between Campanário and Serra de Água, will be completed in the summer of 2023, confirmed the Regional Secretary for the Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change, Susana Prada today during her visit to the reconstruction works of a section of Levada do Norte, affected by a landslide last March.
