Three Canadian citizens were injured this afternoon following an accident in the Ribeira da Alforra area between a car and a bus.
The alert was raised at 16:15 and mobilised rescue teams to the scene. According to what was possible to ascertain, the victims had complaints in the lumbar area and upper limbs.
The three injured were assisted at the scene and later transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital by the ambulances of the Volunteer Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos, the Volunteer Firefighters of Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol, and the Portuguese Red Cross. Luckily, the injuries were considered minor. The victims were admitted to hospital for evaluation and medical follow-up.
The circumstances of the accident have not yet been ascertained.
