UK company Fully Fused Fireworks will light the skies tonight in the first of the Festival of the Atlantic’s firework displays. Their show, ‘The Power of Dreams,’ starts at 22:30 in the bay of Funchal.
“The objective of this competition is to achieve the ‘Atlantic Trophy.’ This is awarded by a jury, as well as winning the people’s choice, ‘Madeira Tão Tua Trophy.’ Voting slips can be dropped into tombolas placed in the Plaza Madeira shopping centre, the Tourist Information Office of the Regional Directorate of Tourism, on Avenida Arriaga, and at the Funchal pier on the night of each show.
The results of the Madeira International Fireworks Display Contest will be known on the 28th of June,” states the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture.
