Only 8% Of the Population Re-Vaccinated

One of the major headlines today was that 92% of the Madeiran population has decided not to come forward and receive their Covid-19 booster vaccination.

Of the 8% who have received their booster shots, the majority are within the 70 – 79 age bracket.

Bruna Gouveia, the Regional Deputy Director for Health, strongly advises the population to be re-vaccinated, as immunity against the SARS-CoV-2 virus only lasts for so long.
