Hospital Pharmacy Lacks Medicines

“Once again, and contrary to what has been stated by the Regional Health Service, several hospital patients have complained about the lack of medicines in the hospital pharmacy,” states the JPP (Juntos Pelo Povo).

“Just this week health professionals confirmed that there had been a lack of medicines in the hospital pharmacy since October and that the situation is ongoing. This situation, states the JPP, is incomprehensible and inadmissible in the provision of adequate healthcare services. A service that embodies the constitutional rights of all citizens: the right to health.

The JPP regrets that despite numerous complaints by patients the situation remains unresolved. They ask anyone experiencing medicine availability problems at the hospital to make a written complaint at the user support office, detailing your experience and including, where possible, dates when medications have been unavailable.
