The new AppSESARAM mobile app is now available to all users of the RAM Health Service. This is part of SESARAM’s digital scanning and transformation strategy or alternative user communication channel i.e. online booking.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the health authority wrote:
“This technological solution connects with the SESARAM User Portal and the Institutional Portal to provide digital services and useful information, which is updated and personalised for each user. Services include making a family doctor’s appointment (routine consultation, due to illness, request for leave/certificate, or renewal of prescription), or to see a family nurse (treatments, consultation, or vaccines).
If you do not have a family doctor, the user may request an appointment. Consultations and appointments for young people (users up to 21 years of age) or for university students are also available in a request format.
The AppSESARAM also has a digital identifier SAUDE@ID, whose QR code allows automatic registration of presence, for consultation or examination, in the centres located in the External Consultation of the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça and, for now, in the health centres of Bom Jesus, Santo António, Machico, Caniço and Câmara de Lobos. In due course, the app will be available in more remote health care units.”
Other features include the Digital Vaccines Bulletin, updating user contacts (phone and email), consultation with upcoming schedules, episode history, clinical references, and clinical documents (e.g., cardiology exams, imaging test reports, ophthalmologic examinations, and hospital emergency discharge grade).
Furthermore, average waiting times for care in hospital emergency services and urgent care in health centers can be consulted, as well as the most recent SESARAM satisfaction surveys and news.
The AppSESARAM was developed by SESARAM’s computer centre, is bilingual (Portuguese and English), and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.
