Father Christmas Arrives At Forum Shopping Centre

This Saturday is an incredibly special day, as Father Christmas returns to the Forum Madeira Shopping Centre.

In a statement issued by the shopping centre’s management, they remind everyone that:

“From 10:15 am the shopping centre embraces the magic and charm of Advent, with a Christmas Parade which includes circus arts, live music, a fun atmosphere, and plenty of things to do.  These include a travelling group of Christmas characters inspired by the ethnographic and natural regional heritage, as once Vanusca and her little friends arrive, at midday, the most hotly anticipated celebrity on the calendar arrives – Father Christmas -.

Once children have delivered their letters and told Father Christmas what they would like for Christmas, the younger ones will be presented, free of charge, the Book of Gui.  As in previous years, the Book of Gui brings together a series of collectable characters; this year’s theme is dedicated to “The Discovery of Portugal.” This time, Gui will welcome his friend Olga, who has just arrived in Portugal from Ukraine, and as part of Olga’s familiarisation, the book contains important national monuments.  Included in this, is a very special map of Portugal – and to collect all the monuments and characters just visit Forum Madeira every weekend until Christmas, and request a token and detachable monument. The monuments and characters change each weekend, and please be advised that stock will be limited.

In addition to the book, children will also have their photo taken with Father Christmas, and have time to explore his house and have a ride on the Mini Magic Train.

Father Christmas will then take Mondays off to ensure that his elves are working hard and will return to the shopping centre from Tuesday to Sunday.
