A body found floating alongside the Funchal Pier is that of a woman who was probably in her 40s or 50s.
Her body was quickly retrieved and brought back to shore in the marina area, where officials had to wait for the coroner to confirm the death. The body could also not be removed from the area until the Judicial Police arrived, who from now on will be investigating the incident.
