Strong wind and poor visibility affected Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo, this morning.
The New York flight had to divert to Lisbon after circling to see if the weather conditions would temporarily improve and allow it to land.
However, later this morning as the weather and conditions began to improve an EasyJet flight was able to land.
According to the latest ANAM information, the airport is now functioning normally.
