The Mayor of Ponta do Sol today unanimously approved the decision to create a medicinal cannabis plantation in the municipality. Although details of where the 33,000 square metre plantation will be have not been confirmed.
However, said the Mayor, this is only the first step in a long process which will involve other entities, including the Forestry Institute and Ecological Park staff.
