We Need to Streamline Immigration Process

The PSD presented a plenary draft bill to the Assembly of the Republic this morning, entitled ‘For the guarantee of fair treatment to foreign citizens in Portugal without a valid travel permit.’

Since 2015, the community of Venezuelans in Madeira has tripled, said PSD deputy, Carlo Fernandes, at the presentation of the document. The PSD stated that as of today, 9,455 foreigners live in Madeira, 15% of which are Venezuelans and 14% are from the United Kingdom, and that streamlining the immigration process was vital to the region.
