To wear, or not to wear a mask inside a club? That is the question. To which the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, and the Regional Secretary for Health, Pedro Ramos, have said, that masks must be worn as people enter the club, and ideally be worn throughout the evening, except when having a drink. However, they did admit this may be hard to enforce as dancing is seen as a form of exercise.
Facing criticism, Miguel Albuquerque, accepted that some people will be unhappy with the regulations, but, he wants people to understand that the pandemic is far from over. With regards to Market Night and New Year celebrations, everything looks good, as the market is expected to go ahead as expected, while restrictions will be lifted for the End of Year celebrations.
