Starting from the 26th of June, the municipality of Câmara de Lobos will resume its Animal Cause campaign, which will allow dog and cat owners to have their pets vaccinated and microchipped. The maximum cost per animal is €17.50, and includes a rabies vaccination, health leaflet, microchipping, deworming and registration with the Sistema de Informação de Animais de Companhia (SIAC).
The campaign dates are:
26th of June – Câmara de Lobos
24th of July – Estreito de Câmara de Lobos
14th of August – Jardim da Serra
18th of September – Curral das Freiras
16th of October Quinta Grande
Please note that pandemic health and safety measures are in place, and that a maximum of 32 animals can be vaccinated in any one day.
All those who are interested should register through the official website at www.cm-camaradelobos.pt and complete the registration form, which will be available from the 14th of June. Once you have registered the municipality will schedule a specific time for the vaccination of each animal.
The campaign is only available to residents living within the specified parishes.
