A violent shop robbery this morning Câmara de Lobos resulted the stabbing of a pregnant Chinese woman. As far as details are known, the woman entered the store where she works and a man attacked her, demanding that she open the cash register immediately. As the woman refused to do as she was told, he stabbed her in the lower back, forcing her to open the till. Subsequently, he took the money and ran.
The victim, who is pregnant and in her early thirties was immediately taken to Dr. Nélio Mendonça hospital where she is under observation.
The perpetrator has been identified by the Public Security Police, but as yet they have been unable to apprehend him.
