The Funchal City Council (CMF), together with the GNR and the Firefighters Sapadores do Funchal, collected the stray dog that is said to have harassed residents, walkers and bit a 10-year-old girl last Sunday in Beco da Levada de São João.
In a press statement, the CMF stated that the Funchal City Council together with the GNR and Funchal firefighters collected the dog, who has now been taken into ‘protective custody.’ The council wanted to thank everyone involved in the situation, and wish to say that the dog was not harmed, and is now in a secure and safe location.
