The cost of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test for those arriving in Madeira in July will be in the region of €150 and payable by the passenger.
Once the mandatory quarantine is lifted at the end of June, it will be replaced by PCR testing where a passenger must have carried out the test 72 hours before arriving on the island. For those who forgo the test in their departure country, they will be obliged to take a test here, and go into quarantine until the result proves negative or positive.
According to local sources, the President of the Regional Government should publicly address this issue, among others, later this week.
