‘Stay Safe, Stay Savoy’ is the Savoy Signature’s mission statement as they present their new Covid-19 health and hygiene safety measures which will be adopted by all the Savoy Signature hotels and restaurants. The objective is “to inform, clarify and reinforce confidence in tourists returning to the Savoy Signature collection hotel’s located in Calheta and Funchal when they reopen” said a company statement.
The statement goes on to say that “There will be several adaptations of our hotels, from staff, customer service, the operation of restaurants and bars, as well as cleaning services for rooms and common areas. Before arriving at the hotel, our guests will have the added security that we comply with all the required standards that include, among many others, the marking of spaces to maintain social distancing, duly established meal times, the allocation of rooms which will be unoccupied for at least 24 hours before being used. Suitcases will be disinfected upon arrival; modified reception areas will ensure a quick and smooth check-in service. The number of guests allowed into a lift will be modified and all public areas regularly disinfected. A Guest Booklet will be distributed to guests to complement all measures with information on the procedures to be adopted during the stay.” Added Ricardo Nascimento, the group’s operational area advisor.
“Although our primary concern and priority is the health and safety of everyone, we cannot forget the importance of our customers, and we are running several staff training courses to ensure that our customers have the best holiday experience possible.”
