The Madeira Sports Centre, located in the municipality of Ribeira Brava, has already re-opened following the new measures announced last Friday by the President of the Regional Government, with regards individual sports.
According to a statement from the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructures, starting today, Monday 10th of May, people can begin playing various sports such as Tennis, Padel, mini gold and use the athletics track through prior appointment, preferably by telephone on (291 950 120/911 014 715 – or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Porto Santo Golf and Tennis Complex which includes two Padel courts, has also re-opened. The 18-hole golf course, designed by Severiano Ballesteros, allows users to enjoy a demanding scenic course, Doubles 3, short game and Driving Range. Tee times must be pre-arranged by phoning 291 983778.
The Porto Santo Development Society, responsible for managing the golf course and other developments has also re-opened the Tennis Complex, located in Campo de Baixo. This complex has two Padel courts and six Tennis courts, and bookings can either be made by phoning 291983274 or contacting the society via email on email@example.com.
For the President of the Development Society, Nivalda Gonçalves, the re-opening of these spaces is “excellent news for Porto Santo as it will bring some normality, even if progressive, to the daily lives of the island’s residents.”
