During his daily report, Pedro Ramos, the Secretary for Health cited a World Health Organisation (WHO) study which suggests that there is no evidence to support that those who have recovered from Covid-19 cannot catch it again. However, he reiterated that “if we always have negative results and comply with the recommendations, Madeira will be a safe island.”
The good news is that no cases of Covid-19 have been recorded among construction workers, who were some of the first businesses to open up during the current pandemic climate.
Commenting on the fact, the Secretary for Health said “no construction employees have had symptoms or any suspicions relating to Covid-19. No company has contacted the SRSMadeira24 line to report a suspicious case, and everyone is complying with the contingency plan, guaranteeing the safety of their professionals and all those involved.”
