Public transport users in Madeira who disregard the mandatory use of masks or visors risk a fine of between €120 and €350.
Decree-Law (DL) 20/2020 was published yesterday and makes the use of masks or visors mandatory in the use of collective passenger transport, constituting an offence, punishable by a fine of a minimum value of 120 euros and a maximum of 350 euros.
The decree comes into force tomorrow, with the driver being able to ban access to the bus or call the police in case of non-compliance.
Supermarket Continente has already informed its customers that starting tomorrow (3rd of May), all customers must wear either a mask or visor in their stores.
